'I'm going to work 10 times harder,' says Angelina Jolie on joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with 'The Eternals'

Kevin Feige, the President of Marvel Studios, on Saturday, at the Comic-Con San Diego, announced the major plan for Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase IV. During the announcement, fans of the series were left stunned as he unveiled the secret of Angelina Jolie joining the Marvel Universe through The Eternals. Hall H of the Comic-Con fest turned into the venue of major surprises for the audience with this major announcement of the plum project. At the event, Angelina, who is marking her debut in the Universe, spoke about being a part of it. She plays the role of Thena, an Eternal that has super strength, speed and stamina.

"I'm going to work 10 times harder because what it means to be part of the MCU, part of this family, we know what the task ahead is, what you all deserve and we're all gonna work very hard," Angelina told.

 Apart from Angelina, The Eternals stars Salma Hayek, Richard Madden, Brian Tyree Henry, Kumail Nanjiani, Lauren Ridloff and Don Lee. Speaking about the film, Richard, who will be seen as Ikaris said, "The Eternals are a race of immortal aliens sent to Earth by the celestials to protect humankind from the deviants. And, I play Ikaris who is the sexiest... the most powerful of The Eternals." 

Chloé Zhao is roped in as the director of this film which is currently in its pre-production stage. The Eternals is scheduled to release on November 6, 2020. For the unversed, The Eternals is based on a comic book series, originally from 1976, involving the Eternals, genetically modified humans created by the cosmic beings known as the Celestials, who also created some villainous counterparts, the Deviants.
