Watch: Tom Holland turns the 'world's greatest spy' played by Will Smith into a pigeon in the 'Spies In Disguise' trailer

Twentieth Century Fox released the second trailer for animated flick Spies in Disguise on Monday. The film follows complete opposites, super spy Lance Sterling played by Will Smith and scientist Walter Beckett portrayed by Tom Holland, as they team up to save the world.

Ben Mendelsohn, Karen Gillan, Rashida Jones, DJ Khaled and Masi Oka round out the voice cast, while Nick Bruno and Troy Quane co-directed the film. The trailer opens with Lance introducing himself as 'the world's greatest spy,' which he says is due to the fact that everyone knows his name. A compilation of clips shows Lance engaging in spy work as his peers praise him.

The audience later meets Walter, who gets caught between elevator doors as he tries to chase down Lance. "I've been working on this thing at home. It is gonna change spying forever," Walter tells Lance. "It's called biodynamic concealment." The scientist soon reveals that the project will help Lance disappear.

Lance agrees to be the subject in Walter's experiment and Walter declares that the experiment works after Lance turns into a pigeon. While Walter is happy with the results of the experiment, Lance is not pleased. "I can see my butt and your face at the same time," Lance angrily says as he gets used to his pigeon form.

"Pigeons are everywhere and nobody notices them," Walter later explains about why he chose to turn Lance into the bird. "It's the most perfect form a spy could take." Spies in Disguise will be in theatres on December 25.
