HBO’s latest channel promo hints a Stark reunion in Game of Thrones Season 8

Today, HBO released its latest channel promo featuring the upcoming line up of shows. What caught our attention in the 1:40 minute promo are the three seconds that feature Jon Snow and Sansa Stark of Game of Thrones. The fantasy-drama which premiered April 2011 will finally conclude with its eighth season in 2020.

GoT’s last episode, The Dragon and Wolf, aired in July 2017 and left its viewers unsatisfied and desperate for more. This episode confirmed the much-awaited unification of Jon Snow (Kit Harrington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). It ended with Lannisters, Starks, and Targaryens coming together to fight the common enemy – White Walkers. However, it did not answer questions like who sits the on Iron Throne or what the future holds for its key characters?

This teaser is making GoT fans go gaga and has given rise to new theories and speculations. Amidst the many clips from previous episodes, what’s new is Jon and Sansa hugging each other in Winterfell. This is a hint that the Starks finally reunite. However, unlike last season Sansa seems to be disturbed by something else. Now, the speculation is that Jon has brought Daenerys home. And Sansa, who is currently the warden of Winterfell, might be unhappy or bewildered to see him bring a Queen along.

It will be interesting to see what the scene actually is. Because as per the current timeline, everyone at home (Winterfell) knows Jon’s real identity (his real name: Aegon Targaryen) except for him. Even though the wait is a long one, the makers of GoT and its star cast is making sure the audience does not forget anything.

The channel promo also features shows like Barry, Big Little Lies, The Deuce, Room 104, True Detective, The Shop, Pod Save America, and Camping amongst others.
