Angelina Jolie-Brad Pitt battle over kids: She could lose primary custody

Court documents reveal that Angelina Jolie could be in danger of losing primary custody of the couple’s six children to estranged husband Brad Pitt. A judge in the couple’s ongoing divorce case had declared that the six children “not having a relationship with their father is harmful to them”. He adds that “it is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their father and mother.”

And there’s more… “If the minor children remain closed down to their father and depending on the circumstances surrounding this condition, it may result in a reduction of the time they spend with [Jolie] and may result in the Court ordering primary physical custody to [Pitt].”

Now that should hit Jolie hard. She had filed for divorce from Pitt on September 19, 2016. The couple’s six children - Maddox, 16, Pax, 14, Zahara, 13, Shiloh, 12, and 9-year old twins Vivienne and Knox – have been a bone of contention, with the custody dispute continuing more than 20 months after filing for divorce.

Jolie has been suggested specific steps by the judge to improve her ex-husband Pitt’s access to and relationship with the children. She has been asked to provide the actor with the cell phone number of each child, and the freedom to call them anytime. She has also been disallowed from reading their text messages with Pitt or secretly monitoring his calls.

A detailed summer visitation schedule for the children was also drawn up. Apparently, Brad will spend June 8 to June 17 with the kids for four hours a day in London. Angelina is currently renting a home and shooting Maleficent 2 here. Pitt will host one or two of the minor kids at a time, and will spend time with each child at least twice. Jolie is not allowed to be present during Pitt’s time with the children.

Similar detailed plans have been shared up until July 29. Once back in L.A., Pitt can decide where to stay with the kids, but he must make arrangements for their visits with therapists and doctors.

What’s more, when the kids are with Pitt, Jolie can call only once a day at a time agreed to by both parties.

Hopefully, these recommendations will help smooth matters for the ex-couple…
