After receiving backlash over the recent episode of ABC's crime drama Quantico, Priyanka Chopra finally breaks her silence and writes an apologetic tweet for unintentionally hurting people's sentiments.
She wrote, "I’m extremely saddened and sorry that some sentiments have been hurt by a recent episode of Quantico. That was not and would never be my intention. I sincerely apologise. I'm a proud Indian and that will never change."

Her apology comes after ABC issued one over the outrage of their episode titled The Blood of Romeo where Indian nationalists are trying to frame Pakistan for a New York City terrorist plot.
“ABC Studios and the executive producers of ‘Quantico’ would like to extend an apology to our audience who were offended by the most recent episode, ‘The Blood of Romeo’,” the network said in a statement released Friday.
While ABC apologized for the theme of the episode, the network defended Chopra’s involvement and said, “The episode has stirred a lot of emotion, much of which is unfairly aimed at Priyanka Chopra, who didn’t create the show, nor does she write or direct it. She has no involvement in the casting of the show or the storylines depicted in the series.”
This did not sit well with fans as they slammed the actress for keeping silent. “Retweet if you consider @ABCNetwork's apology useless unless @PriyankaChopra personally apologises for Quantico's shameful Hindu terror plot. Let's show the world, the power of a silent, peaceful protest for justice,” wrote one of the Twitter users.
The episode brought so much displeasure that a Hindutva group in Delhi torched down posters of Priyanka outside the Parliament to protest against her.
Now that Priyanka has finally addressed the issue, we hope the viewers and fans would calm down and enjoy the remaining of the final season.
