Speaking to a leading daily, Lohan told, "Fashion doesn't always have to be so naked and can be adventurous and still beautiful with a strong group of women behind it."

During her visit to Turkey, the actress revealed how she was given the religious text by some friends of Saudi descent. "They gave me the Quran and I brought it to New York because I was learning," she said. It opened doors for me to experience spiritually, to find another true meaning. This is who I am."

While the actress was first spotted wearing the hijab in Turkey, it wasn't until 2017 did she delete all her pictures from her social media and updated her bio to read, "Alaikum salam" ("peace be unto you").

"I don't want to speak on something that I haven't finished yet," she told another media house about her keen interest in the religion.

Lohan had previously claimed of being "racially profiled" by the security at London's Heathrow Airport.
