I’m in love: 'Dil Dosti Dance' fame Shantanu Maheshwari finally confesses it

Dancer and actor Shantanu Maheshwari, who is known for his television serial, Dil Dosti Dance is all set to make his debut as a host in reality show – India’s Best Dramebaaz Season 3. He will be seen interacting with the little kids and the judges – Vivek Oberoi, Huma Qureshi, and Omung Kumar.

In an interview with PeepingMoon.com, Shantanu Maheshwari opened up about the show, content on television, his love life, marriage and many more.

Here’s what he said:

On hosting the show:

I have shot the first episode and the experience was amazing. I am doing hosting for the first time and I am nervous too. On the other hand, I am excited too because hosting is something which I always wanted to do. So what can I ask for more than getting an opportunity with India’s Best Dramebaaz?

The reason behind choosing India’s Best Dramebaaz:

As a contestant, I have done two reality shows – Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa and Khatron Ke Khiladi. So, when I was offered to host; I was really happy because it’s the only show which showcases the talent of children in terms of acting. Also, this show has given good talents to the industry. My family members too watch it. I am sure it would turn out to be a great experience.

Equation with Vivek Oberoi, Huma Qureshi, and Omung Kumar:

Talking in front of personalities like Vivek Oberoi, Huma Qureshi, and Omung Kumar is not easy (laughs). Initially, I was bit nervous but later on, they made sure that I am comfortable and made me a part of their family; especially Vivek Bhai! He really tries hard to make me comfortable because this is his third season. So, he really treats me like a family member and makes me comfortable so that I can deliver the way I want to.

On Sonali Bendre’s health:

Sonali Bendre’s cancer news was a shock for all of us. Even we weren’t aware of it; in fact, we came to know too through her Instagram post. It’s sad to hear this…All we can do is pray for her speedy recovery. We hope that she returns soon all well. She is a fighter lady and I am sure she will recover soon.

Opinion on youth based shows:

I don’t see innocence in youth content; it’s all abusive language. There’s a lot of dark space in the content which I really don’t like about it. Many people participate in reality shows just to gain fame. I think reality shows should be seen as an opportunity of getting better exposure into acting, singing and dancing world. Parents should motivate their child in learning and not win the title.

On doing Bigg Boss:

I have been approached for Bigg Boss once, but I am not the right person for the show (laughs).

Is Shantanu in love?

Yes, I am in love…but doesn’t want to reveal much…(laughs)...
