Golden Globes 2019: Rami Malek says 'awkward encounter' with Nicole Kidman on stage will haunt him forever

Bohemian Rhapsody actor Rami Malek said that the hilarious snub he received from Nicole Kidman during the Golden Globes award ceremony in Los Angeles last week will haunt him for the rest of his life, a news agency reports.

During his appearance on the American talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Rami spoke about it after he was informed that the incident in question was filmed in a video that has gone viral. "I had not seen that," Rami said after the video was played during the show.

During the award ceremony, Rami won the Best Picture - Drama trophy for his role in Bohemian Rhapsody and walked towards Nicole, who had presented the award, to greet her. However, it appears that Nicole didn't notice this and turned her back.

"I've known her for many years, despite what it may seem in that video, so I thought I could easily go up and say hi but in a moment like that... it was very awkward. I have a feel this is probably haunting me on the internet now," Rami said on the show.

Before Bohemian Rhapsody, Rami Malek garnered acclaim for his role in thriller Mr. Robot. His film credits include Michael Noer's Papillon, Paul Thomas Anderson's The Master, Tom Hanks' Larry Crowne, Need for Speed and Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb.
