Posing with Kendall Jenner to featuring in celebrated photographer Mario Testino’s Towel Series - When Sushant Singh Rajput made heads turn in fashion fraternity!

On Sunday, June 14, 2020, Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput left the country in a state of shock with the news of his sudden demise. The actor died by suicide at his Mumbai residence. Not just the film industry, the fashion fraternity also mourned over the loss of its favorite muse. Designer Manish Malhotra pulled out his favorite moment with SSR from his archives that has now become a memory to cherish while his stylists Priyanka and Kazim a.k.a 'The Vainglorious' mentioned how he 'lived three lifetimes' worth of living in one'.

I had met him only once before and then asked him to walk for the show as I felt he suited this collection. He immediately agreed and came home for fittings .. when he came for rehearsals he said he was nervous as he had not walked before and I remember telling him you are such a good actor you will be fine and just smile as your smile is endearing and charming .. He was wonderful in this show as he and @shraddhakapoor walked and made a lovely pair together and today this is a wonderful cherished memory forever .. I woke up this morning thinking about him & still can’t beileve it. It’s really sad and how I wish this had not happened. You will be dearly missed. #sushantsinghrajput #memories

Soon after we had begun working with Sushant, a shoot in January 2017 called for us to travel overseas for 3 days. The shoot was finalised at the eleventh hour, which put me in a predicament because multiple other commitments compelled me to be in Mumbai. Priyanka stayed in Mumbai juggling gigs, and I decided to travel with Sushant and help set things up on the first day, figuring my team could take it from there. Sushant, being on brand, knocked out the work quickly, and suggested we use the remainder our time well. He insisted we needed to squeeze three nights’ worth of hedonism into that one night, since I was traveling back the next day. That one night is a microcosm of how Sushant lived, three lifetimes’ worth of living in one!

Although one would remember Sushant mainly for his versatile roles, his dedication to playing the part, and class-apart acting skills, he had also contributed some incredible moments to the fashion industry. Apart from featuring as a cover star on fashion magazines and ramp walks, Sushant has also pulled out some big guns that showed his dominance in the fashion world as well.

For Vogue India’s 10th anniversary issue in 201, Sushant shared the frame with the supermodel and KUWTK star Kendall Jenner and managed to stay in the spotlight, thanks to his oh-so-hot looks. Not to forget, this made him the ONLY star to feature alongside Kendall.

Take a look at some shots from this anniversary issue:

Icing to the cake was the fact that this issue was guest-edited by celebrated fashion photographer Mario Testino who has been a regular name to the likes of esteemed fashion magazines, Hollywood’s A-listed celebrities, the British Royal Family, amongst many others. This anniversary photoshoot marked Sushant as the only male actor to turn Testino’s muse. And mind you, Rajput made us pick our jaws dropped on the floor with his good looks.

Sitting in a vintage car and donning a ravishing unbuttoned sherwani with a piercing gaze, he surely tugged at our heartstrings.

That charming smile and a cute wink is something that we won’t forget soon…

But that’s not it, the ace international photographer also featured him in his famous ‘Towel Series’ featuring the world's most popular stars like Kate Moss, Kristen Stewart, Gigi Hadid, Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Justin Bieber, Kendall Jenner, and many more.

Sushant was the only Bollywood male actor to feature in this famous photoshoot series making him the 136th celebrity after actress Katrina Kaif. Now, that’s something! Also, can we appreciate the level of hotness of this picture?

The celebrated photographer also grieved over the loss of his muse and dedicated a heartwarming post to him.
