After the TRP of popular crime based show Crime Patrol started to fall low, a new show titled Savdhan India took its place. It first aired in the year 2012 and since then has been ranking at the top through all these years. Its TRP ratings too, have been unmatched. Popular actor Sushant Singh, the host, has become the face of the show. Now, it is rumoured that film actor Jimmy Sheirgill will take over his place.
According to a source associated with the show, Jimmy is set to make his foray to the small screen as the host of this show. Earlier, R. Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Rajkumar Rao and Kay Kay Menon were being considered for the role. However, sources claim that the makers of the show have shortlisted Jimmy for the part.

Savdhan India has been one of the most watched shows since its beginning. So, the news of it going off air came as shock for its viewers and fans. Now, we know that the makers of the show are preparing for a better and bigger return with a new season. While the show is synonymous with Sushant; Pooja Gor, Monish Behl, Divya Dutta and Hiten Tejwani have also hosted the show. It is supposed that the show was abruptly taken off air following the constant complains from its viewers regarding its content.
Jimmy was recently seen in the multi-starrer film Phamous along with Kay Kay Menon, Pankaj Tripathi, Jackie Shroff and Mahi Gill. He made his acting debut with Gulzar directorial Machis. Though, he rose to fame with his next film Mohabbatein which was an Aditya Chopra directorial also featuring Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Tushar Kapoor. Jimmy worked in several films after that like Mere Yaar Ki SHaadi Hai, Dil Hai Tumhara, Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar, Hasil, etc… However, he was recognized and appreciated for his acting only after films like Naseeruddin Shah starrer A Wednesday and Kangana Ranaut – R. Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu. After having marked his place in Bollywood, the actor seems to be all set to take over the small screen.
