You can breathe easy: Divyanka Tripathi to return to YHM as a grown-up Pihu!

Television's favourite Ishima is not bidding farewell to her show, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein. Divyanka Tripathi, who achieved overnight fame with her show on Star Plus four years ago, had revealed that she was taking a break from the hectic working hours of the show, to catch up on domestic bliss with husband, Vivek Dahiya. The two had met on the sets of YHM and had tied the knot a year and a half ago. Now PeepingMoon.com has exclusively got to know that Divyanka is taking a 4-6 month break but that she will return to the serial as her grown-up daughter Pihu! Yes, Yeh Hai Mohabbatein will go through its third leap, wherein Divyanka will be seen in a new look in the Bhalla house - not as the beloved Ishita but Pihu. Child artist Ruhanika Dhawan is currently essaying the younger Pihu's role, Isgita's younger daughter in the show.

As per our sources, Divyanka will be seen in a starkly different look from that of her current character. DT (as Divyanka is fondly addressed), who was seeking a change from her Ms.Goody-Two-Shoes role, had been eager to essay a different role since quite some time. This has apparently led producer Ekta Kapoor to come up with the perfect solution - instead of killing off Divaynka's character or making her suffer from memory loss, her third most used idea is to be implemented… The serial will take a leap and the actress will return as the grown-up version of her daughter! Apparently, Pihu's role, which Divyanka will essay after another leap in the show, will be bold, modern and badass, unlike Ishita, who is the soft-spoken, traditional 'bahu-beti-biwi' of our small screen.

This doesn't come as a surprise to many. Divyanka is the lifeline of YHM. She has been the constant favourite character on the show and is currently among the highest paid actresses in the television circuit, with a remuneration of Rs.1 - 1.5 lakh per episode. YHM is also among the top-rated shows of Ekta's production house. Neither of the ladies will part ways at the show's cost. The entire overhaul will succeed in giving a new look to YHM, bringing in more young faces, new characters, and a fresh storyline. (YHM has tried it all - two wives, separation, supernatural and more!)

With Divyanka set to sport a new avatar, the show will receive a fresh kick, a much-needed boost. Rumours are rife, that Anita Hassanandani aka Shagun too will exit the show soon, and might join the star cast of Ekta's Naagin 3.

It remains to be seen if the leading man Karan Patel aka Raman Bhalla, who has been equally popular as Ishita, will take another leap and play the role of a 55-60-year-old (as per leap calculations) or not! And going by his current involvement with ‘Bigg Boss’, there is also the possibility of, post the leap, ‘Bigg Boss 12’ also waiting for the actor!

Meanwhile, Divyanka fans can rejoice. This might be the best birthday gift she could give her fans on this special day!
