Following the massive success of ‘Kalki 2898 AD’, Deepika Padukone is set to return to Telugu cinema as the leading lady in Atlee’s anticipated action spectacle ‘AA22×A6’ opposite Allu Arjun. PeepingMoon.com has learned that Deepika and Atlee were discussing this project for the past few months and recently sealed the deal for their second collaboration after the 600 crore blockbuster ‘Jawan’ in 2023. Mrunal Thakur and Janhvi Kapoor join her as two other female leads. Casting for the remaining ensemble is currently underway.

Allu and Deepika have long since expressed interest in working together. Atlee's 700-crore budgeted action spectacle promises electrifying onscreen chemistry between both superstars. Deepika, who will be adopting a look tailored to the film’s narrative, is reportedly commanding a monumental fee for her role. On maternity leave since September 2024, Deepika is strategically curating her comeback, prioritizing high-profile, commercially driven projects. The Atlee-Allu Arjun film is the second she has bagged after signing Shah Rukh Khan’s action thriller, ‘King’, which began filming yesterday in Mumbai. She is expected to shoot for Atlee’s film after finishing the SRK entertainer.

Envisioned as a visually groundbreaking action spectacle set in a parallel universe, ‘AA22xA6’ features the ‘Pushpa 2’ star Allu Arjun in his first double role. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film has been planned to be mounted on a global scale, with leading special effects companies from Los Angeles enlisted to map out a spectacular palette. Pre-production is going on in full swing, with principal photography slated to begin around July-August.
