The rumour must most certainly have made young Nupur Sanon’s day. But that’s what it is, a rumour only. And the news that Kriti Sanon’s sister, who was seen in the chart-busting music video Filhall last year romancing Akshay Kumar, will now make her Bollywood debut opposite the actor in the 2021 spy drama Bell Bottom is not true at all.
PeepingMoon.com has confirmed information that Nupur is not Akshay’s lead actress in Ranjit M. Tewari’s film that, Akshay tweeted, would be a roller-coaster spy ride back to the Eighties. And nor will it be Mrunal Thakur as was being widely speculated earlier. According to our sources, the actress for Bell Bottom has not been finalized. Akshay is preparing for the release of Sooryavanshi in March and is busy with Laxmmi Bomb, Prithviraj and Bachchan Pandey at the moment. He will give the spy drama his attention in due time.

Bell Bottom is not a remake of any South film but has an original screenplay inspired by true events. Some Bollywood sites today went to town with the news that Nupur would be playing Akshay’s wife in the film and she would have a strong character. They said that Nupur’s look test was done and because people liked her chemistry with Akshay in the Filhall music video, she had been finalized as the lead actress in Bell Bottom and was prepping for the big break. Sorry to burst everybody’s bubble, but much as we like Nupur, this is not true at all.
