In 2016, Hrithik filed a complaint alleging that someone impersonating him was emailing Kangana from a bogus email id. The actress went on to claim that the id was given to her by her Krrish 3 co-star and they were communicating through the same id till 2014. Hrithik then sent a legal notice to Kangana when she referred to him as a silly 'ex'. He even denied being in a relationship with her. Hrithik further claimed that Kangana had sent him thousands of absurd emails. The Cyber Cell, in 2016, had taken Hrithik's laptop and phone for investigation.
