Shahid Kapoor moves to Punjab with wife Mira Rajput and kids in tow to practice self-isolation and social-distancing amid the Coronavirus lockdown?

Ever since Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, everyone has been living in isolation and staying put inside their homes including our Bollywood celebs who have resorted to doing household chores, cooking and sharing work out videos on social media to while away the time. However, there were reports making the rounds that Shahid Kapoor had traveled amidst the lockdown. 

According to the latest media reports, Shahid has taken to Punjab along with his family and is diligently practicing social distancing. An entertainment portal reported that Shahid left Mumbai on March 17 as wife Mira Rajput’s grandparents own a house in Beas, Punjab. He took his family along with him to practice social distancing. The actor plans to stay there till all the Coronavirus crises die down.

For the unversed, Shahid is well-known to be an avid follower of Radha Soami Satsang Beas. Following the government protocol, the Dera has been shut down for worship that attracts huge crowds but people who own houses on the premises have been allowed to stay in them. 

Earlier this week, the Dera Beas offered the Punjab Health Minister all its Satsang centers in the state to convert them into isolation wards. Shahid’s upcoming film Jersey has been put on hold till the Coronavirus outbreak does not come under control.
