'If it happened, why would he himself put the video out?,' questions Vicky Kaushal on the controversial video from Karan Johar's party!

In July, Karan Johar had posted a video on Instagram of a party he hosted at home. Soon afterwards, Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa shared the video, alleging that top stars who were present at the party -- such as Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Shahid Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, and Vicky Kaushal -- were flaunting a "drugged look" in the video. He tagged the video with #UdtaBollywood, taking off on the film "Udta Punjab", which was about the drug menace in the state of Punjab and which, incidentally, starred Shahid.

Speaking about the same, Vicky said at a conclave in Mumbai, "So, here's what really happened. Karan calls all of us, we're just chilling at his place. Three days before this, I had just recovered from dengue. I had been sitting at home for ten days, and doctors were like 'You can now get back to work.' So anyway at the party, five minutes before the video was made, Karan's mother was there, and had just put a little gangaajal on us," adding that that went viral on social media was not the first take. "For the first video, we were all like hey and cheerful and the fourth one we were just like done, bas karo. That scratch of the nose is a normal thing, I didn't know it means drugs," he added.

Talking about his expression, Vicky said it clearly looks like he's recovered from dengue and people assumed that they were doing drugs. He maintained, "My expression was perfect. That reflection was also caught. The next day I had gone to Arunachal Pradesh, where I spent four days with the military. I had no clue what was going on, I had no internet. I come back, meet my family, and was telling them about my trip. I was happy, as I had spent time with the military. I open Twitter and go "Hain?" I went back to my parents, and asked, "Do you know about this?'"

Vicky concluded by saying, "If someone just stops me and asks randomly, you're drugged? It's fair for people to assume things, but to make full facts about it, is just unfair."

On the work front, Vicky Kaushal was last seen in Uri: the Surgical Strike and even won a National Award for the same.
