Priyanka Chopra married Nick Jonas after a whirlwind romance that culminated in a beautiful fairytale wedding at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan on December 1 and 2. The couple got married in two separate wedding ceremonies- a Christian wedding and a traditional Hindu ceremony keeping in mind their different religions and cultures.
Priyanka’s mother Madhu Chopra spoke about the wedding and what personally touched her and became her favourite moment to an entertainment portal. She said that the chaos that ensues while organizing a wedding was not felt much by her because PeeCee was extremely happy and that made the work much easier. However, she revealed that walking Priyanka down the aisle and giving her away, doing her kanyadaan to her dream man was an extremely emotional and proud moment for her.

Madhu Chopra said, “When she (Priyanka) told me I was supposed to walk her down the aisle and do the kanyaadan, it was the most moving thing.” She further added, “Priyanka did her first dance with Nick after marriage and then the second one she did it with me. In fact, Nick proposed that Priyanka would like to dance with you. What she would have done with her father (late Dr Ashok Chopra), she did it with me, so that was like elevating me to another level and I was very touched." Explaining how emotional the precious moment was for her, she said, “If you see all the pictures, my eyes are swollen in them."

Priyanka looked drop-dead gorgeous in her wedding gown created by Ralph Lauren for her Christian wedding. The videos of the wedding have brought a lump to everyone’s throat seeing Priyanka walk down the aisle with her mother who gave her away to Nick. Even Nick couldn’t hold back a tear looking at his beautiful bride accompanied by her equally gorgeous and elegant mother.
Priyanka and Nick hosted a wedding reception at Delhi on December 4 which was attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi too. The newlyweds will also be hosting a reception for the Bollywood celebrities soon in Mumbai.
