Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas will be husband and wife this week. The couple got engaged after falling in love in a whirlwind romance. The two for the first time opened up about how love blossomed between the couple in an interview given to a leading entertainment magazine.
The couple gave out their wedding details and shared intimate details about their romance. The couple revealed that they had been introduced to each other by a mutual friend and were happily exchanging flirtatious texts before they eventually met for the first time at Vanity Fair Oscars Party in February last year.

Priyanka confessed that it was Nick who took the first step and sent her a message. He had sent a text to their mutual friend Graham Rogers and wrote, “Priyanka.is.Wow.” He then texted her on Twitter and asked her out on a date after which they exchanged phone numbers. Apparently, when they first met at the Vanity Fair Oscars party Nick went down on his knees when Priyanka walked past him and said, “In front of a bunch of people—and I say, ‘You’re real. Where have you been all my life?’ Like, loud.”

After that first encounter, they did not see each other for months until they were invited by Ralph Lauren to attend the Met Gala in May 2017. They met for a drink a week before they accompanied each other on the red carpet. Priyanka later invited Nick to her apartment in New York City after they met at a hotel. However, Nick was quick to add that nothing happened at the time as her mother was at the apartment and he was being respectful. He said in the interview, “There was no kiss. There was nothing.”

Then the couple went their own way for an entire year when they once again bumped into each other at the Met Gala this year on the red carpet. Without wasting much time, in the same month Nick invited Priyanka to watch a live performance of Beauty and the Beast and they met at Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles. Talking about PeeCee, Nick said, “She walks into the Chateau, and I feel an overwhelming sense of peace and understanding about this next chapter of my life.” They went to a Dodgers game the next evening where they were first spotted by the paparazzi. The next day, after their third date, Nick called his mother to tell her that he is going to marry Priyanka.

Nick and Priyanka went on several dates afterward but it was in Los Angeles that he completely won her over, when he said, “I love the way you look at the world. I love the drive you have,” something that no man had ever said to her before.

Nick finally proposed Priyanka in Crete on the day after her birthday. He got the perfect ring for Priyanka by shutting Tiffany’s store in London.

They had a traditional roka ceremony on August 18 to make tehir relationship official. The couple will get married on December 2 and 3 at Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur, Rajasthan. Their pre-wedding festivities have already started from today.
