Ankita Lokhande is one of the most popular actresses in the glamour industry. She rose to fame with serial Pavitra Rishta wherein she played the role of Archana Karanjkar opposite Sushant Singh Rajput. Reportedly, the actress is making her comeback on television after a gap of five years. If reports are to believed, she might play one of the naagins in Ekta Kapoor’s upcoming Naagin 4. An online portal quoted its source saying Ankita is the main lead of Naagin 4 wherein she will be playing the role of Naagrani. However the official announcement on the same is still awaited.
Few days back, Ekta revealed that Nia Sharma who is best known for her roles in series including Ek Hazaaron Mein Meri Behna Hai, Jamai Raja and Ishq Mein Marajawan has been roped in to play one of the leading actresses. She wrote, "Welcome to the world of Naagins "Nia Sharma" @Theniasharma #Naagin- Bhagya Kaa Zehreela Khel only on @ColorsTV Coming Soon." (sic)

Coming back to Ankita, she was last seen as Jhalkari Bai, a very strong character in Kangana Ranaut’s film Manikarnika – The Queen of Jhansi.
Talking about the naagins, the first two seasons featured Mouni Roy and Adaa Khan in the lead roles. After Mouni and Adaa Khan quit the show, actresses Surbhi Jyoti, Anita Hassanandani and Karishma Tanna got into their shoes as the shape-shifting snakes.
