Sushant Singh Rajput’s and Sanjana Sanghi starrer Dil Bechara which was earlier titled Kizie Aur Manny has now got a new release date. The film which marks the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra will now release on May 8, 2020. The film is the official Hindi remake of the popular film The Fault in Our Stars which was the screen adaptation of John Greene’s bestselling book of the same name.
There were quite some rumours recently that after Sushant's latest film Drive released on Netflix even Dil Bechara will release on an OTT platform. But the makers cleared the buzz by releasing the new release date along with the latest poster, stating that the films will release only in cinemas. A source close to the development had stated, “After Drive, producer Fox may offload Dil Bechara on an OTT platform. It would be a double blow for Sushant Singh Rajput. Several careers are at stake. Debutante Sanjana Sanghi, and casting director Mukesh Chhabra makes his directorial debut. The OTT platform would be doom for all concerned.”
But soon after Sanjana cleared the air and announced on Instagram and wrote, "Dil Bechara, an extraordinary love story very close to my heart will now be releasing on 8th May 2020, only in cinemas."
Dil Bechara is being produced by Fox Star Studios.
