Sushant Singh Rajput’s and Sanjana Sanghi starrer Dil Bechara which was earlier titled Kizie Aur Manny has finally got a release date. The film which marks the directorial debut of casting director Mukesh Chhabra will release o November 29, 2019. The film is the official Hindi remake of the popular film The Fault in Our Stars which was the screen adaptation of John Greene’s bestselling book of the same name.
Dil Bechara might face competition from Ajay Devgn’s Taanaji: The Unsung Warrior at the box office which is scheduled to release on November 22, 2019, a week earlier. The Fault In Our Stars featured Ansel Elgort and Shailene Woodley in the lead roles and is one of the most popular and well-loved films of recent times.

Dil Bechara was mired in controversy when Chhabra’s name was brought in the #MeToo perpetrators’ list. However, after an independent investigation was carried out his name was cleared and he was reinstated as the film’s director. The film was put on hold for the time the investigation was being conducted. There were false reports too of Sushant harassing Sanjana on the sets of the film but that matter was also cleared when the actor shared harmless and clean screenshots of his conversation with the debutant actress.
Dil Bechara is being produced by Fox Star Studios.
