Bhushan Kumar’s production house T-Series took to social media today to announce their foray into OTT with a series based on business tycoon Ratan Tata’s illustrious family. The series will cover the 200-year-old journey of the Tata family and how it was instrumental in building the nation. T-Series and Almighty Motion Picture have purchased the AV rights to the story of the legendary business family outlined in the book The Tatas: How a family built a Business and a Nation written by senior journalist Girish Kuber.

The cast for the series have not been announced yet. Reportedly, the series will have at least three seasons. Confirming the development, Prabhleen Kaur Sandhu of Almighty Motion Picture previously told a leading daily, “The endeavour is to put a spotlight on how the Tatas family contributed to community building. The series' focus will not be limited to the raising of a business empire by the Tatas but will underscore their invaluable contribution to building our nation. The show will not only cover the successful journey of Ratan Tata, former chairman of Tata Sons, but also his ancestors and the entire Parsi family.”
