Sushant Singh Rajput and Ankita Lokhande's popular daily soap, Pavitra Rishta, got a web version. Shaheer Sheikh replaced Sushant as Manav in the show which released on September 15, 2021. Now, the second season of Pavitra Rishta 2.0 has been greenlit and it will stream on ZEE5 from January 28. Ahead of Pavitra Rishta 2.0 Season 2's release, Sushant's elder sister Meetu Singh spoke to a Hindi daily and shared her opinion.
Talking to the daily, Meetu expressed her displeasure and called it a sad attempt to cash in on Sushant's death. "Hum nahin chaahate ki koi hamare bhai (Sushant Singh Rajput) ki maut ko bhunae. Imandari se kahoon to main Pavitra Rishta 2 ki ghoshana se khush nahin hoon. Yeh spasht roop se Sushant ke naam ka fayda uthaane ka ek dukhad prayaas hai," Meetu told.
Pavitra Rishta 2.0 Season 2 picks up from the point where the first season ended. Directed by Nandita Mehra and written by Nikita Dhond, Gautam Hegde and Ritu Bhatia, the show revolves around Archana and Manav's love story.
