Vicky Kaushal looks unrecognizable as he shares his prison look in the latest still from 'Sardar Udham'

Vicky Kaushal has shared yet another look of himself from Shoojit Sircar's Sardar Udham and the actor looks unrecognizable in the latest look. Vicky shared a photo of himself as Sardar Udham from his prison days. He revealed why the freedom fighter was jailed and his eventual escape to Europe.

Sharing the photo, Vicky wrote, "1931, Prison, India. Udham Singh was in prison for possession of prohibited papers "Ghadr-i-Gunj" ("Voice of Revolt"). He was released later but under constant surveillance. Soon, he escaped to Europe and never got to return to India. #SardarUdham #SardarUdhamOnPrime | Oct 16."

Sardar Udham stars Vicky in the titular role. The film is based on Udham Singh, who assassinated Michael O' Dwyer, former lieutenant governor of Punjab, in revenge for the Jallianwala Bagh massacre in Amritsar in 1919. Singh was tried and convicted of murder and hanged in July 1940. 

Directed by Shoojit Sircar, Sardar Udham is based on the story of the revolutionary freedom fighter Sardar Udham Singh. Slated for release during the Dussehra weekend, Sardar Udham will be streamed exclusively on Amazon Prime Video on October 16, 2021, in India and across 240 countries and territories.
