On June 11, PeepingMoon.com had exclusively informed its readers that Taapsee Pannu's Rashmi Rocket is getting a direct-to-web release amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Also starring Priyanshu Painyuli, Abhishek Banerjee and Supriya Pathak, the film skipped its intended theatrical release as cinema halls in many states are yet to reopen. Now, the official release date of Rashmi Rocket has been announced.
Rashmi Rocket will release on ZEE5 on October 15. A new poster of the show offered a glimpse of Taapsee's character's journey in the film. Sharing the poster, the actress wrote, "Get ready to run with Rashmi in this race on and off the track. She will need you in this one. #RashmiRocket ready to take off on 15th October 2021 only on @zee5"
In Rashmi Rocket, Taapsee will be seen playing the role of a sprinter who dreams of winning international athletic contests. It is being said that the character will get entangled in the case of her own husband's murder.
Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Rashmi Rocket is produced by Ronnie Screwvala, Neha Anand, and Pranjal Khandhdiya.
