Mitakshara Kumar's directorial debut, The Empire, premiered on Disney+Hotstar on August 27. The 8 episodes series stars Shabana Azmi, Kunal Kapoor, Dino Morea, Drashti Dhami, Rahul Dev and many others in the lead. Produced by Emmay Entertainment, The Empire is about the founder of the Mughal Empire, Babur. Now, the three lead actors of the series- Kunal, Drashti and Dino- will soon be seen in conversation with Karan Johar. They graced the special segment titled Koffee Shots with Karan.
In a promo, Karan went on to ask the most interesting questions to Drashti, who made her web show debut with The Empire. He wanted to know who is the current female actor that she considers her role model. Without wasting a single second, Drashti said, "Your favourite Kang…" After taking a brief pause, she changed her answer to Priyanka Chopra Jonas. However, she had already caught Karan off guard. The filmmaker replied, "I am keeping a straight face."
Apart from this, Drashti opened up about working with Kunal and Dino. She said she was nervous while acting with them and how she had to go through her dialogues while the men knew theirs well.
Karan further interacted with Dino and spoke to him about his look in The Empire. The filmmaker said, "I saw your look and it is a badass look." Dino added, "I followed an animal; I went with a panther." Karan further asked, "So what kind of an animal are you off screen?" The actor replied, "I am puppy; everybody loves a puppy."
Karan asked Kunal, "What paigham (message) would you send to Abhishek Bachchan?" He said, "Mere bhai, kabaddi kabaddi kabaddi."
