'Money Heist' producer confirms its 5th season; Professor Alvaro Morte hints at the 'end of his character at some point'

Netflix's Money Heist fever had taken over in April as the popular show's fourth season had released. Money Heist 4 starring Álvaro Morte as The Professor, Úrsula Corberó as Tokyo, Jaime Lorente Lopez as Denver, Alba Flores as Nairobi, Darko Peric as Helsinki, Itziar Ituño as Raquel, Esther Acebo as Monica, Hovik Keuchkerian as Bogotá, Rodrigo de la Serna as Palermo, Miguel Herrán as Rio, Pedro Alonso as Berlin, José Manuel Poga as Gandia and Najwa Nimri as Alicia Serria is one of the Netflix's finest shows. Ever since the 4th season released on April 3, fans have been wanting to know if there is a 5th season in store for them.

An official announcement has not been made by Netflix so far, however, it was last year in November that the producer Jesús Colmenar revealed that they have yet another season planned. As per What’s On Netflix, Colmenar told the Spanish press, “That there is a fifth season can be said.” However, he also refused to give away any more details and said, “I will keep it to myself, I know too much and don’t want to spoil anything.” The cast of La Casa De Papel had also earlier teased the next season as Itziar Ituno had said that it’s unlikely that season four would be the last one.

Furthermore, Alvaro Morte, who plays The Professor in Money Heist, while speaking at the Chelsea Film teased fans about the end of his character. Express.co.uk quoted him saying, “I’m aware this comment will make me very unpopular. The Professor was a very weird guy, a very lonely guy and what happened with the band and finding love, it’s a really small chapter in his life. If we’re talking about the end of the character, I think at one point, I’d like to see him go back to that loneliness, that solitary life that he’s more used to and seems more comfortable in.”

Well, fans cannot wait for the official announcement from Netflix!
