'Who’s this Trivedi guy, is he dead?'- Aamir Khan bombarded Saif Ali Khan with questions on Sacred Games 2 but sadly, got no answers!

Sacred Games, starring Saif Ali Khan as Inspector Sartaj Singh and Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Ganesh Gaitonde, left the audience speechless with its gripping plot and a thrilling chase through Mumbai's underbelly. Now the makers are back with the second season of the popular and acclaimed Netflix series on Independence Day. Based on Vikram Chandra's novel of the same name, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap and Neeraj Ghaywan, who takes over from Vikramaditya Motwane, have directed the new season. Now with the trailer of the new season hitting the internet, not only the viewers, several celebs are also curious and have many questions related to the show. Among them is actor Aamir Khan, who apparently bombared Saif with questions like, '"Who’s this Trivedi guy, is he dead?"

During the promotions of Sacred Games 2, Saif revealed to a website that Aamir got curious about the show and said, "You know Aamir Khan sent me a text and he is someone whose opinion I respect and whose mind I admire when it comes to movies, and he said I want to talk to you so you know I called him back and he said, listen who’s this Trivedi guy, is he dead, what happened and he had all these questions which I couldn’t answer." Well, sadly, Aamir got no answers from him!

Meanwhile, Saif added that even Varun Dhawan was mighty impressed with Sacred Games. “I remember Varun Dhawan was all praises for the show and rang up. A lot of people rang up, so that was nice. But even more important was the fact that we were representing our country on a global level and the kind of reviewers that write about it don’t normally review the films we do."

The second season picks up from Sartaj Singh pursuing his relentless battle of saving the city and Ganesh Gaitonde facing bigger challenges to retain his position as the legendary kingpin of Mumbai. The intriguing Guruji (actor Pankaj Tripathi), introduced in season one as Gaitonde's 'third father', plays a pivotal role in unfolding a chain of events that shape the next season. Kalki Koechlin and Ranvir Shorey have also joined the cast of the much-awaited show.
