Release date of Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh's 'Arjun Patiala' to be pushed due to Kajol's 'Helicopter Eela'?

Gone are the days when a single film used to release on Fridays. Now with numerous films releasing in one particular week, the audience does get a lot of options to choose from. However, due to the increasing competition and the amount of money invested, one or the other film has to bear the loss in case of a box-office clash. Thus, a lot of filmmakers shift the release dates of their films in order to avert the clash.

Now as per a report in a leading website, the latest film to consider shifting its release date is Dinesh Vijan and T-Series’s Arjun Patiala featuring Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh in the lead.

The makers had booked the Ganesh Chaturthi holiday, September 13 as the film's release date but now the film is slated to face a clash with Kajol's Helicopter Eela on September 14. Moreover, T-Series’s own production venture, Batti Gul Meter Chalu, also releases a week later on September 21. In order to evade the chaos, the makers of Arjun Patiala are considering for a fresh release date in October. But with all the dates booked, we wonder which Friday the makers will settle for.

Directed by Rohit Jugraj, Arjun Patiala is a comic caper that sees Diljit play the role of a policeman while Varun Sharma plays his lackey with a sarcastic tongue called Onida Singh. Kriti is playing the role of a scoop-hungry reporter with a TV channel. Zeeshan Qadri of gangs of Wasseypur fame plays the main antagonist who is called Sakool (School). After playing some intense characters in Udta Punjab and Soorma, Diljit will play a comic role in this film.
