The new pairing of Deepika Padukone and Prabhas has blown everyone’s mind. The lead actors have been roped in to star in Nag Ashwin’s sci-fi directorial venture. Breaking the exciting news on the internet, Deepika was spotted ‘thrilled’ about the film and wrote, “Cannot wait for what we believe is going to be an incredible journey ahead.”
Reportedly, the producers were keen to have her on board and that meant agreeing to pay her a whopping remuneration. Reportedly, Deepika is getting Rs 20 crores for the film which has made her the current highest-paid actress in the entire Indian film industry.

Apparently Deepika who believes in gender equality when it comes to work has been charging remuneration on a par with what the leading man of a film gets. She rightly feels she has earned herself a place where she can demand pay parity.
Though she couldn’t be given a fee equal to Prabhas (he is being paid close to Rs 50 crores), it is being said that the female lead’s part is being rewritten for Deepika adding more weight to her role in the film to strike a balance with her star status and remuneration.
