1. Tapu Aka Bhavya Gandhi Quit Taarak Mehta after 8 years:

One of the longest-running comedy shows, Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah witnessed a major change in the star cast when Bhavya Gandhi quit the show after the creative difference with producer Asit Modi. Just a month later, he was replaced by Raj Anadkat.

2. ‘Jhansi Ki Rani’ fame Ulka Gupta spoke about facing racism at the age of 7.

Ulka Gupta, best known for her role as Manu from serial Jhansi Ki Rani had to struggle a lot to get a meaty role. And the reason behind it was her dark skin!

In one of the interview, she said, “I was very passionate about acting but surprisingly at the very young age, I came across the dark side of our industry. After wrapping up Resham Dankh, my father and I used to go for the auditions on a daily basis. And every time, I was disappointed to see that the producers are looking for a fair girl. According to them, fair girl represents an up market girl. I was rejected so many times just for the sake of my dark skin. In fact, due to my complexion, I got a role of Saloni’s daughter in Saat Phere. Since, that show focused on the girl’s courage beyond her dark complexion; the casting directors finalized me. Otherwise, I was rejected most of the time. Surprisingly, after so many years, my casting agent still gets few requirements stating, ‘need a fair complexion girl’. Honestly, I have stopped going for such auditions. Fair hone se koi upmarket nahi dikhta. I want my talent to speak up for me and not the color of my skin.”

This interview led her to become one of the most searched actresses on Google.

3. Kapil Sharma tweets about his marriage with Ginni Chatrath

On March 19, Kapil Sharma surprised his fans by tweeting about his relationship with Ginni. He tweeted, “Meet my wife…I love her more than Deepika…” In one of his post, he also stated “Will not say she is my better half.. she completes me..love u Ginni…please welcome her…love you so much..”

4. Kapil Sharma – Sunil Grover flight controversy:

Kapil Sharma and Sunil Grover’s ugly fight happened on 18th March 2017 while returning from Australia. Kapil had assaulted Sunil in the flight.

5. Kapil’s sister Pooja Devgan opened up about Kapil’s Depression:

In the mid of July, Kapil Sharma’s sister Pooja Devgan mentioned in of the interview that his younger brother Kapil might be suffering from depression.

6. ‘Beyhadh’ actress Aneri Vajani trolled for being slim.

On the occasion of International Yoga day. Aneri posted a picture of her in lingerie on her social networking account. After posting the picture, she became a victim of slut-shaming and body shaming for wearing lingerie and sharing on her social media.

7. Piyush Sahdev Rape Case A 23-year old fashion designer who is reportedly his live-in partner, alleged Piyush Sahdev of raping her. As per reports, the ‘Beyhadh’ fame actor, who was in a relationship with the victim for the last two months, did so after gaining her confidence and promising to build help her build a career in modeling and acting. The actor’s bail plea has been rejected by the Mumbai court on the basis of the medical reports submitted by Versova Police. Currently, Piyush is in judicial custody in the Arthur Road Jail after he was arrested by the Mumbai Police on November 22, 2017.

8. Ban on TV serial ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’

Tejasswi Prakash and Afaan Khan Starrer ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ had become one of the most controversial shows in the history of Indian television. The show revolved around a 9-year-old boy (Afaan Khan) who gets married to an 18-year-old girl (Tejasswi Prakash). However, this theme of the show was not accepted by the viewer’s claiming it to be outrageous. In fact, a certain section of the audience had filed a petition against the show demanding a ban. And after weeks of dealing with controversy and petitions, the channel has decided to take it off air.

9. Kapil Sharma continuously canceling his shoot with Bollywood actors.

Since July 2017, Kapil Sharma canceled his shoots seven times due to his ill-health. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shahrukh Khan to Ajay Devgan; Kapil had canceled the promotional activities which led to a lot of controversies.

10. Gopi Bahu fame Devoleena goes braless from sanskari bahu:

Actress Devoleena Bhattacharjee, popularly known as Gopi Bahu of ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya’ got a sexy transformation. The actress broke all stereotypes attached to her with her latest photo shoot. From posing in a bra to going braless for another one, the 32 year old actress has left no stone unturned to impress her fans.

11. Zubair Khan attempting suicide in Bigg Boss 11 house

Zubair, the alleged relative of Dawood Ibrahim attempted suicide by consuming pills after getting blasted by host Salman Khan in the first Weekend Ka Vaar of the season. Zubair was immediately rushed to the nearby hospital.

12. Bharti Singh wedding:

Popular comedian Bharti Singh married to her long-time boyfriend Harsh Limbachiyaa on 3rd December 2017 in Goa. From her bangle ceremony to destination wedding; Bharti’s wedding had become one of the biggest highlights in the last quarter of 2017.

13. Singer Aditya Narayan’s fight with Indigo staff member

In the first week of October 2017, Aditya Narayan was caught up in a controversy after he got into an argument with Indigo staff member at the Raipur airport. In a viral video, Aditya Narayan was seen threatening the official by saying, ‘Mumbai pahunchne de, teri chaddi nahi utaari toh mera naam Aditya Narayan nahi’ (Let me reach Mumbai. If I don’t strip you, then my name is not Aditya Narayan).
