Those Seventies’ Stud Muffins!

The Hindi film industry saw its ‘Sex Revolution’ in the bold Seventies. It was propelled by a bunch of brave new stars like Danny Denzongpa, Vinod Khanna, Shatrughan Sinha, Navin Nischol, and Rishi Kapoor. These were the young guns who spoke a new language and flaunted their uninhibited lifestyle.

Rishi lost his blushes

When he was a student at Campion School, Rishi Kapoor was apparently nuts about his girlfriend Yasmin. Their relationship lasted for four years, during which time she apparently kept him firmly in check… Till stardom discovered him and female attention poured in. Kapoor soon became a symbol of male potency, quickly losing his early blushes in the company of older, experienced women. The cherubic looks remained but the star had apparently become an adept player in the seduction game.

Navin played the field

Navin Nischol was off the marriage market when he entered the industry but he was allegedly far from averse to checking out the temptations that came his way. The actor, who tasted stardom in 1969, supposedly struck a fine balance between keeping his wife happy and having his fun on the side. And you are not guilty till you are caught, right!

Danny was the smoothest

If gentlemen don’t kiss and tell, Danny is one in the true sense of the term. Never one to publicise his romances, he was nevertheless a super smooth operator. He was the one to find favour with the hottie of the decade, Parveen Babi, who chose him from among all the males who were pursuing her madly. They went on to live-in together openly and very happily.
