Rani who has been busy promoting her upcoming family drama 'Hichki', at a recent promotional event introduced Brad Cohen, the inspiration behind the film.
Rani plays the titular role of a teacher named Naina Mathur who suffers from the Tourette Syndrome, inspired by Cohen's real-life story wherein he turned his nervous system disorder to an advantage.
Director Siddharth P Malhotra in a statement earlier had said, "Brad's life story is now a Bollywood movie and, of course, he is thrilled to see his journey releasing in India. Rani has read Brad Cohen's book Front of the Class: How Tourette Syndrome Made Me the Teacher I Never Had and has researched the story of his life thoroughly for an authentic portrayal of her character."
The film will hit the silver screen on March 23.
On the other hand, Varun Dhawan along with co-star Banita Bandhu recently visited Sophia's College for a special promotional event. The actor was seen enjoying a great session with the students and fans present at the college.
The makers of the film earlier released the trailer for the movie which is not a love story but a story about love.
Speaking about the film, Varun had earlier said, “I have been an ardent fan of Shoojit da’s work and have always wanted to work with him. October is a beautiful story in which I play a character with many layers. It’s a difficult character to play. I just want to surrender to my part and show people a new side of me. Shoojit da, Ronnie (Lahiri) and Juhi (Chaturvedi) have always made good cinema. I feel grateful to join their team.”
