The ChainSmokers have arrived!

In June, one of the world’s leading EDM-Electro band, The Chainsmokers sent fans in India in a frenzy after they tweeted, “don’t worry Asia got a lot of announcements coming soon… and you too India and Australia.” The fans could not wait to know when and where they’ll make their Indian debut.

Today, EDM artists can be easily compared to Rock artists back in the day, in terms of their fan following across the globe. Fans throughout the year wait for music festivals and tours to get a glimpse of their favourite Dj’s. Finally, dates were announced for The Chainsmokers performances in Road To Ultra Music Festival to be held in Mumbai and Delhi on 7 and 8 September.

Andrew Taggart and Alex Pall, the DJ-duo who make up The Chainsmokers, studied music in college, shot to fame with their single Selfie. Their latest chartbuster is Closer, which is on everybody’s playlist. Post the announcement of their arrival designer Neeta Lulla confirmed that she has designed their stage outfits. She decided upon a kurta with bomber Jacket to complement their edgy performances.

According to sources, they have asked for a big van to travel around in India as they’ll be travelling with their entire team. They have some unusual demands too! The Chainsmokers will be eating American cuisine on the trip, but have asked for true blue Indian delicacies like kebabs, butter chicken, biryani and dal makhani to be prepared for them in both Mumbai and Delhi.

Other line ups for the event looks good, it includes Sam Feldt, Mykris, American DJ/rapper Getter, DJ duo Lost Kings, dark and sinister techno artist Rezz and also DJ Slushii.
