Cruise reportedly reached out to Muschietti and said that The Flash is “everything you want in a movie” and “this is the kind of movie we need now.” Cruise is credited to have revived cinema and Hollywood through his film Top Gun: Maverick by adhering to its theatre release and not giving in and letting it stream on OTT. At the height of the pandemic in 2019, a video went viral of the star being driven through London to go see Christopher Nolan’s Tenet, which excitedly reviewed and said, “I loved it!” Steven Spielberg had heaped praise on Cruise for Top Gun: Maverick and said, “You saved Hollywood’s ass, and you might have saved theatrical distribution.”

The Flash is DC’s highly-awaited film. Ezra Miller stars as The Flash aka Barry Allen. The film also stars Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck in the role of Batman as the film is based in an alternate timeline as well as Sasha Calle as Supergirl. The film is all set for its theatrical release on June 16, 2023.
