SS Rajamouli’s RRR has clinched another historical milestone. The film’s song Naatu Naatu has been shortlisted for Oscars 2023 nominations. The Academy Awards took to Twitter to share the nominees for the Best Original Song and Naatu Naatu has made the cut.
Besides Naatu Naatu, other songs in the running for the award are Applause from Tell It Like a Woman, Hold My Hand from Top Gun: Maverick, Lift Me Up from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever and This is a Life from Everything Everywhere All At Once.

The individual nominees for the song Naatu Naatu are Kala Bhairava, MM Keeravani and Rahul Sipligunj. Previously, AR Rahman and Gulzar won in the Best Original Song category for Slumdog Millionaire’s Jai Ho. Naatu Naatu also won Best Original Song at the recently concluded Golden Globe Awards.
