Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman 3 considered dead as DC Studios plans to move forward in a new direction: Reports

Gal Gadot was all set to return to the silver screen as Wonder Woman in the franchise's third installment. However, now that's reportedly not going to happen. According to an international publication's report, Wonder Woman 3 is not being materialised at DC Studios and is reportedly being considered dead. This has come after the newly appointed co-CEOs James Gunn and Peter Safran initiated fresh plans to reshape the future of the DC Universe.

According to the report, the director of Wonder Woman 3, Patty Jenkins, was recently informed by Gunn and Safran, as well as Warner Bros. Pictures co-chairs and co-CEOs Michael De Luca and Pamela Abdy, that the project couldn't fit in the new yet still unfolding plans.

While it is being said that costs were never the factor, DC Studios could end up saving tens of millions of dollars by not making Wonder Woman 3. Reportedly, Gal was on a $20 million payday for Wonder Woman 3 whereas Patty would have received $12 million. As per sources, these figures don't include possible backend bonuses.

On December 6, Gal shared a picture of herself as Wonder Woman on Instagram and wrote, "On this day, a few years ago, was the first announcement that I was going to play Wonder Woman. I’ve been so grateful for the opportunity to play such an incredible, iconic character and more than anything I’m grateful for YOU. The fans. The most amazing, warm, loving fans in the world. I’m still pinching myself to see if I will wake up. Can’t wait to share her next chapter with you."
