Months after Russia's attack on Ukraine, Angelina Jolie visited the western Ukrainian city of Lviv on Saturday. The Hollywood actress and UN humanitarian planned a visit to speak with displaced people who have found refuge in Lviv. She also met children who were undergoing treatment for injuries sustained in the missile strike on the Kramatorsk railway station in early April.
Angelina was spotted visiting a cafe and the railway station to meet some of the people displaced by the war with Russia. After visiting the injured children, she reportedly said, "They must be in shock ... I know how trauma affects children, I know just having somebody show how much they matter, how much their voices matter, I know how healing that is for them."
Nothing special, just Angelina Jolie in Lviv coffee shop. Admirable indeed and speaks of her true values more than any IG post and “sending thoughts and prayers”. Act! Do something! Words are not enough. pic.twitter.com/qswgXEdWVx

According to reports, Maksym Kozytskyy, the Governor of Lviv, told in a statement that Angelina also visited a boarding school, spoke to students, took photos with them and promised: "she would come again." As per the Governor, Angelina also met the evacuees arriving at Lviv’s central railway station. She interacted with Ukrainian volunteers providing the new arrivals with medical help and counselling.
A month ago, Angelina, as the special envoy, visited Yemen, where millions of people have been displaced by war.
