Singers Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello have called it quits after dating for two years. The pop stars, who collaborated on the 2019 duet Señorita, announced their breakup after two years of dating on Wednesday.

"We've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever," the singers each posted on their Instagram Stories. "We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. we so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward," they added.

According to People magazine, after being friends for years, Shawn and Camila officially started their romance in July 2019. They were photographed sharing several PDA moments throughout that summer and made their first major public appearance as a couple that August at the MTV Video Music Awards, where they performed their duet Señorita.

Shawn and Camila recently appeared more in love than ever on Halloween. For the occasion, the pair dressed up in matching Folklorico outfits in honour of the Day of the Dead. Their breakup definitely comes as a shock to all fans.
