Malignant trailer: James Wan and Annabelle Wallis bring a horror film to scare the bejesus out of you

James Wan is back at what he does best, scaring the bejesus out of you. The director returns with his latest horror flick Malignant whose trailer released yesterday. Warner Bros. dropped the first trailer of the film which is being heralded as Wan’s directorial return to the horror genre that he knows best.

Malignant follows a woman named Madison, played by Annabelle Wallis who finds herself having paralyzing and shocking visions of grisly murders. However, her torment worsens as she finds out that her nightmares are in fact terrifying realities. But when Madison starts to pry into the mysterious circumstances around her visions, she finds the killer is linked to her traumatic past and might be the devil incarnate.

Besides Annabelle, Malignant stars Maddie Hasson, George Young, Michole Briana White, Jacqueline McKenzie, Jake Abel and Ingrid Bisu. Malignant is written by Akela Cooper and is based on a story by Wan, Cooper and Ingrid Bisu. The film was produced by Wan and Michael Clear, with Eric McLeod, Judson Scott, Bisu, Peter Luo, Cheng Yang, Mandy Yu and Lei Han serving as executive producers.

Malignant will be released in theaters in 2021 and will be distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures. The film will also release in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
