After being delayed for almost 2 months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the 78th Golden Globe Awards was held on Sunday (March 1 for India). Due to the pandemic, the ceremony took place virtually. Amy Poehler and Tina Fey hosted the ceremony. Tina was presenting from New York City while Amy was at The Beverly Hilton in California, where the awards ceremony is traditionally hosted. 

The Crown and Schitt’s Creek won big at the Golden Globes 2021. Nomadland (Drama), Soul (Animated) and Minari (Foreign Language Film) took home awards. Chadwick Boseman posthumously received the award for Best Actor in a drama series for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom. Jane Fonda received the Cecil B. DeMille Award and Norman Lear became the third recipient of the Carol Burnett Award.
