Chris Pratt will reunite once again with Chris Hemsworth as he is the first Guardians of Galaxy member to come on board the Thor: Love and Thunder cast. He will reportedly reprise his role as Peter Quill/Star Lord in the film. Pratt’s involvement isn’t surprising as he was last seen in Avengers: Endgame having his captainship aboard his spaceship amusingly threatened by Thor who had decided to join the Guardians of the Galaxy.
In the scene, Groot who is voiced by Vin Diesel had revealed that the Guardians of the Galaxy would be part of Thor: Love and Thunder. Thor: Love and Thunder is due to shoot in Australia in January and Pratt will reportedly do a short round of additional photography for his sci-fi film The Tomorrow War before starting work on the film.
Taika Waitit is returning to helm the fourth Thor film which also stars Natalie Portman as Jane Foster/Mighty Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie, Christian Bale as a villain, and Waititi as Korg. In the films, Thor had left New Asgard- now on Earth-in the capable hands of Valkyrie and decided to search for newer pastures after embracing who he was aboard the Guardians ship.
The fourth Thor film will be the fifth film in the MCU’s Phase Four. It is currently set to release on February 11, 2022 in cinemas wordwide.
