Watch: Zack Snyder releases clip of ‘Justice League’ showing Superman in black suit, says his version won’t have a single shot by Joss Whedon

There is some very exciting news for DC fans. A new Justice League Snyder Cut clip is out that reveals Henry Cavill’s Superman in his new black suit. The new footage sees resurrected Superman visiting the Batcave only to find a surprised Alfred in attendance. In the footage, Superman warmly greets him and says, “I’m assuming you’re Alfred,” and a shocked Alfred nods in response.

Snyder revealed the clip while speaking at his virtual Justice Con panel. The director assured that the film will have all the footage he filmed before he took an exit to deal with a family tragedy and will not feature a single shot by his successor Joss Whedon. He said, “There will be no chance on earth that I will use a shot prior or after I left the movie. I would destroy the movie, I would set it on fire before I would use a single frame that I did not photograph. That is a f***ing hard fact.”

He further added, “I literally would blow that thing up, if I thought for a second…Anything you see in this movie that reminds you of the theatrical release, which again, famously, I literally have never seen, would be because that was a thing that I had done, and was being borrowed for whatever, that Frankenstein’s monster that you got in the theatre.”

In the comics, the black costume is called the ‘Recovery Suit’ as it helps Superman to fully heal after he’s been resurrected. The big reveal has got the Twitterati extremely excited who started a movement to bring back Snyder instead of Whedon for Justice League. The Snyder Cut of Justice League is set to arrive on HBO Max in 2021.
