Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski and Audra McDonald celebrate Stephen Sondheim’s 90th birthday boozing in their bathrobes and that’s the stuff we need!

In order to celebrate the legendary composer and lyricist Stephen Sondheim's 90th birthday, several Broadway and Hollywood stars came together for a two-and-a-half-hour live-streaming concert titled Take Me to the World: A Sondheim 90th Birthday Celebration. Bernadette Peters, Patti LuPone, Kristin Chenoweth, Sutton Foster, Aaron Tveit, Katrina Lenk, Beanie Feldstein, and Ben Platt were among many, many others who joined the online concert to pay Sondheim a tribute.

However, the most special moment of the entire scene was when the power trio of Meryl Streep, Christine Baranski and Audra McDonald got together online, sitting in their bathrobes and crooning to Sondheim’s The Ladies Who Lunch from the 1970 show Company, while sipping on to their own cocktails. Infact, they were all ready with props for the line, I’ll Drink to That, and at one point, Meryl even sipped Scotch straight from a bottle as the three raised their drinks in salute to Sondheim.

Watch it out:

Well, isn't this the stuff that we needed during this quarantine and we must say, Meryl, Christine and Audra have done full justice to it.

Proceeds of the virtual concert will go to Artists Striving to End Poverty (ASTEP) in order to fight COVID-19 pandemic.
