Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, back in 2017, became the talk of the town for setting the trend of starring female actresses in the avatar of superheroes. While the first one was a massive blockbuster, fans of the film couldn't contain their excitement when the poster of the sequel was shared back in June this year. After much wait for further developments on the female-led superhero film, the makers, on Saturday, shared the teaser ahead of the trailer later in the day. Titled Wonder Woman 1984, the venture promises to take us on an adventure.
Speaking of the film, it is set in the 1980s. Gal's character Diana Prince will face her iconic adversary, Barbara Ann Minerva aka Cheetah played by Kristen Wiig. With Gal flying around with her lasso, she seems to be on an adventurous mission. Wonder Woman 1984, like its first film, will ride high on action and will be a spectacular visual treat.
Wonder Woman 1984 is directed by Patty Jenkins. Apart from Gal and Kristen, the film stars Chris Pine, Ewen Bremner, Said Taghmaoui, Connie Nielsen, Robin Wright, Lisa Loven Kongsli, Doutzen Kroes, Pedro Pascal, Natasha Rothwell, Ravi Patel and Gabriella Wilde. It is scheduled to release on June 5, 2020.
