A crucial death scene in Avengers: Endgame was a lot different originally before, reveals Jeremy Renner aka Hawkeye

Raise your hand if you cried, at least once, while watching Avengers: Endgame. The Marvel film made us emotional, left us searching for tissues. One of the causes of our runny noses and teary eyes was Natasha Romanoff's sacrifice to attain the Soul Stone. We cannot take out the visual of Scarlett Johansson's superhero hanging off the cliff while she bid adieu to Hawkeye before she let go.

As emotional as that scene was, Jeremy Renner confirmed that the scene was not originally planned that way. The actor, who played Clint Barton aka Hawkeye in the MCU, recently revealed the details behind the emotional shot. He revealed that the original scene featured Thanos. Yes, before the Mad Titan made his way to the Avengers headquarters on Earth, he was supposed to cross paths with Black Widow and Hawkeye in Vormir.

Jeremy made the confession at the Ace Comic-Con over the weekend. He said, "It was a tough scene for us to shoot. It's a reshoot we did about six months ago. The original was a lot more complicated, with an attack by Thanos. This was just us."

It definitely was the right decision for the scene hit us harder than it would have during a fight featuring Thanos. Unlike many fans who have watched the movie several times. The actor also admitted he watched Avengers: Endgame just once. The one watched wrecked him, he confessed. "It wrecked me, from the opening scene to the end, I laughed, I cried, I never saw it again," he said.
