Excel Entertainment’s 120 Bahadur brings to screen one of the most powerful and long-forgotten stories of courage from Indian military history. Set against the icy terrain of Ladakh, the film follows 120 soldiers of the 13 Kumaon Regiment who stood their ground at Rezang La during the 1962 India-China War — outnumbered, surrounded, and determined to hold the line.

At the heart of this story is Major Shaitan Singh Bhati PVC — a quiet force of determination who led his men into battle knowing the odds were stacked against them. On 18 November 1962, these soldiers , faced over a thousand enemy troops. They fought with grit, resolve, and an unshakable sense of duty.

It was only three months later that a search party discovered the bodies of the soldiers. Almost all 120 had been martyred — still clutching their rifles, fallen in their trenches, facing the enemy head-on.

It’s a chapter the Indian Army remembers each year. Every November, they honour these bravehearts at the Rezang La War Memorial near Chushul. Yet, outside of military circles, very few civilians truly know the depth of what unfolded that day , or the price that was paid.

With 120 Bahadur, that silence is finally broken. This is not just a story of war, but of unbreakable will, unsung bravery, and the kind of sacrifice that demands remembrance.
