Deepika Padukone becomes the FIRST Indian celebrity to join the Louis Vuitton family as its global brand ambassador

Deepika Padukone is on a roll! The diva, with a strong acting prowess and impressive body of work, is dominating the world of fashion as well. After announcing her upcoming lifestyle brand, the actress has now become a global face of French luxury house Louis Vuitton making her the FIRST EVER Indian celebrity to do so.

Deepika’s coveted position as the brand’s ‘House Ambassador’ is also shared by Hollywood actress Emma Stone and China’s leading actor, Zhou Dongyu. All three divas have joined the LV family just in time for the brand’s Dauphine bag launch making them the face of its latest campaign.

“When you’re 18 and have just started earning, you don’t even bother looking into a Louis Vuitton store when you walk past it because you know you’re never going to be able to afford it. There are some things that are aspirational and then there are some things that are just completely out of your orbit. My association with Louis Vuitton is the latter. I’m a very practical, pragmatic person in reality, but I keep having to pinch myself because I can’t believe this is real. And it speaks to the kind of diversity I hope to see in the future,” the actor said in her cover interview on her association with the brand as reported by fashion magazine Vogue India.

Well, this comes as no surprise as the actress was recently spotted in head-to-toe LV looks while making off-duty appearances as well as on the cover of reputed magazines. In 2020, the diva turned face for Louis Vuitton’s pre-fall campaign alongside Sophie Turner, Léa Seydoux, Alicia Vikander and Chloë Grace Moretz, and recently, we witnessed the Deepika make a classic appearance at the 59th Venice Biennale for a dinner hosted by the French luxury house to celebrate the future renovation of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro. Fingers crossed for all the gorgeous LV looks that we are about to see on the prestigious red carpet of the Cannes Film Festival, next week!
