Congratulations Riri: Popstar Rihanna now officially holds a billionaire status under her 'umbrella'

We asked her for an album, she gave us billions and made history! Popstar Rihanna's net worth is estimated at a whopping $1.7 billion, making her the richest woman musician in the world, according to Forbes.

However, music isn't the sole primary source of her wealth, reported Forbes. She's truly setting an example of being 'the only girl in the world'; especially as the only black female artiste in this music industry to do that.

The Barbados-born singer, whose birth name is Robyn Fenty, derives an estimated $1.4 billion of her fortune from her 50% stake in the Fenty Beauty cosmetics line. The rest of Rihanna's wealth comes from her share of the lingerie company namely, Savage x Fenty and her income as a singer and actress, the magazine said.

Rihanna's beauty company, of which LVMH owns the other half, was known for its broad range of foundations catering to 50 skin tones, including dark shades for women of colour, which were rare when it launched in 2017. It made it a leader in inclusivity in the industry over other promising celebrity brands like Kylie Cosmetics etc.

Thanks to the impressive multiples at which beauty companies are trading, all signs point to the company's expansion in impact. Also, her recent venture Fenty Skin, which launched last year, was off to a good start and in alignment with its game-changing beauty line. So it too created the hype for its worth and currently adds to her financial status.

Forbes estimated the 'Love the Way You Lie' singer to rank second behind Oprah as the richest female entertainer. Good for Riri! The hard work has finally paid off! So heartiest congratulations because she deserves everything for her work, work, work, work, work! Okay, we're off to celebrate this victorious journey with some of her hits.
