Ever longed for that perfect nude shade on the model while flipping the pages of the magazine? Don’t worry, Chanel has now got you covered! The French luxury house has launched its one-of-a-kind try-on lipstick app that will help you find your perfect lip colour.
Dubbed ‘Lipscanner’ this app allows the masses to get colour inspiration from their everyday background, favourite bags, shoes, outfits, or from the models on the magazines. All the users have to do is scan the desired colour and the app will instantly present a similar or the closest shade from Chanel’s range of lipsticks. Once the shade is identified from Chanel’s palette, consumers can analyze the suitability of the colour with its advance “Virtual Try On” feature. Now that’s some advanced technology!
This app is a joint collaboration of Chanel’s Connected Experience Lab (CX Lab) and the brand’s Makeup Creation Studio. It took several months for the French luxury brand to design this app and make it a reality. With the algorithm trained to analyze millions of faces, this app is also programmed to take consumer’s skin tone and lip shape into consideration.
For those who are curious to try it on, this app is available for free from February 22 in France, the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Korea and 15 other countries on the Apple App Store.
